Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2, 2026
These terms govern your use of Ecuno (ecuno.io and dashboard.ecuno.io). Ecuno is currently operated by an individual, not a registered company — for legal purposes, references to "we," "us," or "Ecuno" mean that operator. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.
What Ecuno is
Ecuno is a browser-based editor for Bosch ME7 / ME7.5 ECU BIN files. It lets you define maps, edit values, compare against a stock file, and export a modified BIN. Ecuno does not flash files to your vehicle, does not provide map definitions or tuning advice, and does not claim to support every ECU family or guarantee any particular outcome from a tune.
Risk disclaimer — please read this section carefully
Modifying an ECU carries real risk. An incorrect edit, a bad checksum, or a mismatched map definition can damage your engine or emissions system, cause a vehicle to fail to start, void your manufacturer's warranty, and — depending on your jurisdiction — make the vehicle non-compliant with road-legality or emissions regulations.
You use Ecuno entirely at your own risk. Ecuno is a tool, not a tuning service. You are solely responsible for verifying any map definition you use, understanding what a value you change actually does, confirming checksum validity before flashing, and complying with the laws and regulations that apply to your vehicle and your jurisdiction. We strongly recommend keeping a verified backup of your original file before making any changes, and not flashing a modified file to a vehicle you cannot afford to have damaged.
No warranty. Ecuno is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including, without limitation, warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of Ecuno is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including but not limited to engine damage, vehicle downtime, loss of data, or any cost of repair — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. If your local law does not allow this kind of limitation, liability is limited to the maximum extent that law permits.
Your account
You must provide accurate registration information and are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. You must be old enough in your jurisdiction to enter into a binding agreement to use Ecuno.
You may not: share your account with others in a way that violates your plan's terms, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, upload files you don't have the right to use, or use the service for anything unlawful.
Your content
Files you upload and projects you create remain yours. We store them so the editor and version history work, and don't claim ownership over your uploaded BIN files, map definitions, or project data. You're responsible for having the right to use and edit any file you upload.
Plans and payments
Ecuno currently offers a free tier and a Pro tier. Pro billing (Stripe or similar) is not live yet — if and when paid plans launch, updated terms covering billing, refunds, and cancellation will be published before payment processing begins.
Availability
Ecuno is an active work in progress, operated by a single individual. We aim for reliability but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and features may change, be added, or be removed as the product develops.
Termination
You may stop using Ecuno and request account deletion at any time by emailing hello@ecuno.io. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or pose a security risk to other users.
Governing law
Absent a registered business entity, these terms are governed by the laws of Lithuania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
